Rouleur Podcast: issue 62 with Stephen Roche

A very special Giro d’Italia themed Rouleur Podcast with a very special guest: Stephen Roche.

Winner of the Giro in 1987, the Irishman chats about his infamous duel with teammate Roberto Visentini in that year’s race – including fears of sabotage, a pardon from the Pope and the ongoing ripples from that monumental edition – and about that defining commentary from Phil Liggett in the 1987 Tour de France.

Plus Rouleur editor Ian Cleverly discusses Italian legend Mario Cipollini, cover star of Rouleur 62, and some of the Giro’s crazier moments.

Stephen Roche spoke to Rouleur on behalf of the Telegraph London Cycle Sportive, starting and finishing at Herne Hill velodrome on June 26th.
